THE PARTY FOR THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE 100 KM

The “Moneybox of the 100km runners” in aid of the “Friends of Cardiology” Association of Faenza

The traditional “Feast of the Collaborator” of the 100km of the Passatore is scheduled for next Saturday November 17 (19.30) at the Club “I Fiori” in Faenza. Promoted by the Association of the same name, the Feast is dedicated to the over 400 volunteers and their associations who with their passionate, unpaid and constant presence allow the proper running of the race and the assistance necessary to the participants for the entire course of the event. The evening is under the supervision of the sporting group and the staff of the “Passatore” and with Paolo Ciuffoli in the delicate role of coordinator of the kitchen staff to look after the catering. In the course of the evening is scheduled a homage to Alteo Dolcini, one of the founders of the “100km” on the 90th anniversary of his birth, a lively musical contribution by the due Luca and Martina, quizzes based on TV shows that are tied to the 100km del Passatore and a free lottery.

During the evening there will be contributions by Giovanni Malpezzi, Mayor of Faenza, Maria Chiara Campodoni, local councilor responsible for Sport and Claudio Casadio, the President of the Province of Ravenna, who will all be welcomed by Elio Ferri, President of the “100km” and the directive committee.

This year once again saw the sporting group of the “100” promote its traditional “Moneybox of the 100km runners” in favor of local associations. The volunteers and guests will also be able to freely contribute to this “Race for Solidarity”. Over the last 6 years the funds gathered were given to charitable associations including the IOR (2008), ADMO (2009), the Disabled Sporting Group (2010), ANFFAS (2011) and OAMI (2012). This year is the turn of Faenza’s “Friends of Cardiology”.
