PRESS RELEASE N. 7
The 100 km of Passatore 2020 has been canceled
48th edition postponed to the end of May 2021
The Asd 100 km del Passatore officially announces the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the ultramarathon as it is not possible to postpone the Florence-Faenza to another date. For the first time in its long and glorious history, which began in 1973, the ultra marathon named after Stefano Pelloni will not be contested due to a worldwide emergency triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. The 48th edition is postponed to the end of May 2021.
As is known, the organization of the 100 km of the Passatore involves, in addition to thousands of athletes from all over the world, also health personnel, civil protection and law enforcement agencies increasingly engaged in matters of very strong emergency. Confirmed the impossibility of postponing Florence-Faenza by 2020 for logistical and organizational reasons, together with events already scheduled in the autumn in the calendar of the municipality of Faenza, the Asd 100 km del Passatore has deemed it appropriate to communicate in advance the race cancellation.
Registrations already made for the 2020 edition of the 100 km of the Passatore will therefore be considered valid for 2021.
