WAITING FOR THE WINNER: ARRIVAL OF THE RELAY RACES AND AWARD CEREMONIES
The students from the high schools “Torricelli”, “Ballardini” (Faenza) “Cassiano-Paolini” (Imola) , “Istituto comprensivo San Rocco” and the traditional 50 x 1000 will arrive in Faenza just before the winner of this 41^ edition of 100 km del Passatore.
One of the most important collateral event for the athletes is the “Pasta Party” organized by the amateur sport club “ AS 100 km del Passatore” and coordinated by vice president Leoncavallo Lorenzo. It will take place Friday 24th , h 6.00 pm, in the courtyard of San Francesco Church in Faenza thanks to the support of ANSPI association. Some favourites for the race will be present during this event and Elio Ferri – president of the 100 km – will give them the bib number. During the evening, the PhD Stefano Montanari will present his research on nanopatology co financed by the proceeds of the book written by Simone Grassi, a young runner recently dead.
Indeed, Saturday morning will be characterized by the departures of the relay races organized by different schools and high schools that every year involve 300 students and teachers. In addition, starting from the village Marradi, a lot of families with their children will run the traditional “Corsa delle famiglie” organized by the primary and secondary schools “San Rocco” (Faenza), trying to reach Faenza at 8 pm o’clock. Along the route, it will take place another traditional relay race (50 x 1000), coordinated by the association “Giocasport” and involving 50 students. Daniele Menarini and Danny Frisoni will animate the main square of Faenza – Piazza del Popolo- telling some interesting stories about the 100 km del Passatore, the participants and the organization. Starting from 8.30 pm there will be the award ceremonies for the medal of “Passatore 2013” and the winner of the competition “Poster 2014” and, of course…we will be ready to stand up for the winners (male and female) of the 41^ edition of 100 km del Passatore.
