The Passatore is not only the most beautiful race in the world, but the most felt and participated by the communities among which the course develops. The charm of running alone at night, and the wonder of finding, at midnight, a group of people who live on the street who cheer you on and offer you drinks.

The homemade capon broth offered by smiling ladies at Passo della Colla or Brisighella, the children who arrange the glasses by writing their contents on the tablecloths. The smile and serenity of everyone, organizers and members will support you, doctors and masseurs.

GOOD ALL AND THANKS.

However, those who accompany the athletes during the race are not at all good and correct. Intrusive and indifferent to others, they often cluttered the road both stopping and walking at a running pace, offering assistance as if they were flagships of the Giro d’Italia in the pink jersey. I risked being hit three times, and with me also others, by cars that started from the stops without looking. In addition to their safety they have ruined the mystical silence and the magic of the night that is sought in running the PAssatore: As a dream I remember, in the 2008 edition, I ran for a stretch in a cloud of fireflies, in the silence of the night .

IT IS NOT AT ANY FAULT YOURSELF AND IT IS NOT A CRITICISM – THE REGULATION IS CLEAR.

Next year, however, if you allow me to ask you a favor, would you remind the athletes to call their companions to pay more attention and respect to the other “passers-by”, suggesting they use the bicycle rather than the car?
